Method
- Mix water and sugar and boil, then simmer until it turns to a thickish syrup.
- Fry the vermicelli in butter on low heat, add the syrup and sultanas, then mix thoroughly.
- Put into an ovenproof glass dish, cover with foil and cook in an oven (350°F, 180°C, gas mark 4) for fifteen minutes.
