  • 1 cup broken fine vermicelli
  • ½ tsp cardamom seeds
  • 2 tbsp

Method

  • Mix water and sugar and boil, then simmer until it turns to a thickish syrup.
  • Fry the vermicelli in butter on low heat, add the syrup and sultanas, then mix thoroughly.
  • Put into an ovenproof glass dish, cover with foil and cook in an oven (350°F, 180°C, gas mark 4) for fifteen minutes.
