Scottish mutton pies are delicious eaten hot and newly baked, or cold with salad. They are excellent for a picnic.
Cut the mutton in small pieces, discard any fat and roll the meat in seasoned flour. Peel and finely chop the onion. Place the meat in a casserole with the onion, herbs and a seasoning of salt and pepper. Add sufficient hot water to cover the meat. Cover the casserole, plac
