  • 6 eggs
  • 1 round or Webb lettuce
  • 1 large onion

Method

Cover the eggs with cold water and bring up to the boil. Simmer for 8 minutes to hard-boil, then drain and cover immediately with cold water to prevent further cooking. Drain, peel away the shells and leave the eggs submerged in water until cold.

Separate the lettuce into leaves and wash thoroughly. Tear away any coarse stems and tear large leaves in two. Arrange the leaves in the base
