  • ½ lb (225 g) fresh strawberries
  • 2 tablespoon sugar

Method

This recipe makes a delightful, refreshing summer drink.

Wipe the strawberries and slice them into a bowl. Add the sugar, lemon juice, brandy and Cointreau and leave to chill for a little while. Add the chilled Beaujolais and Sauternes, then, immediately before serving, add some ice cubes and the soda water.

Garnish with a few sprigs of mint.
