Onions in Sour Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 carton soured cream
  • ¼ level teaspoon salt

Method

Peel the onions, slice into rings and place in a mixing basin. Cover with boiling water and allow to soak for 2 minutes. Drain and chill for several hours.

When ready to serve, mix together the soured cream, salt and lemon juice. Add the onion rings and toss well to mix.

Excellent served with grilled steaks, chicken or gammon.
