  • ½ lb (225 g) plain flour
  • ½ level teaspoon baking powder

Method

These delicious little biscuits look most attractive. Keep them in a tightly lidded tin so that they remain crisp.

Sift the flour and baking powder on to a square of paper and set aside. Place the butter in a mixing bowl and beat well until soft. Add the sieved içing sugar and beat until the mixture is creamy and pale in colour. Gradually beat in the flour.
