  • 1 (1 lb 11 oz) (750 g) tin pineapple rings

Method

Use fruits which have a pronounced flavour for crystallizing; sugar overcomes the flavour of the more delicate ones. Good results come from using good quality tinned pineapple.

Drain off the pineapple syrup from the tin and put the fruit in a large bowl. Measure the syrup and make up to ½ pint
