Method

Top and tail the gooseberries and place in a saucepan along with the hulled strawberries and raspberries. Add the water and bring to boil. Simmer gently until the fruit, especially the gooseberries, are quite soft – takes about 30 minutes.

Add the sugar and stir over low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil and cook rapidly until setting point has been reached – takes a
