This is a quick, very easy recipe to make, and one that has a delicious flavour. Pick over the cranberries and discard any bruised or soft berries. Place in a saucepan and add the finely grated orange rind and the water. Bring up to the boil over moderate heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon.
