Ingredients

  • 4 large baking potatoes
  • 2 oz / 60 g butter
  • freshly ground

Method

Scrub and dry the potatoes, and prick them all over. Bake towards the top of a preheated oven at 200°C / 400°F / Mark 6, until they feel soft when squeezed slightly. Cooking time will depend on the size and thickness of the potato but can be speeded up by inserting a small metal skewer
