Crumpets, like blini, are made from a thick batter that is raised with yeast. The batter is poured into special crumpet rings that are placed on a hot greased griddle, and not allowed to spread out.

Ingredients

  • ¾ pt / 430 ml water
  • 1 tsp active dried yeast

Method
