Peaches with Wine Custard

• 4 firm peaches
• ½ pt / 280 ml sweet wine

Wash and dry the peaches and place them in a saucepan. Pour on the wine, cover and bring to the boil. Simmer gently for 10 minutes, then remove from the heat and allow the peaches to cool in the wine. Remove the peaches, peel them and slice or cut in half, removing the stones.
