Ingredients

  • 1–2 pink grapefruit
  • 175 cl bottle sweet muscat wine, such as Muscat de Lunel or Muscat de Rivesaltes

Method

Cut the grapefruit into eight segments each, and then slice each segment. Put in a large bowl or jug, and pour on the wine. Chill and leave to macerate for several hours. Serve neat or with a splash of sparkling water for a more refreshing drink. This unusual combination comes from Le Ranquet in the Gard region of France.
