On a really hot day make a cool, fresh lemon drink with the sharp tangy flavour of the whole fruit. Blender lemonade is best made on a larger machine – usually free-standing and with a 1- litre (1½ -pint) capacity.
Cut 2 whole lemons into chunky pieces including skin and pips. Place in the blender container. Add 4 rounded tablespoons castor sugar and a scant 0.5litre (1pint) cold water. If the blender is marked with the capacity up the sides, then fill to the 1-litre (1½ -pint) level.
Cover and blend on high speed until the lemons are chopped up. Then strain into ice-filled tumblers. Makes enough for 3.
