  • About

Consideration on the part of the hostess means having at least one non-alcoholic drink among the others at a party. This fruit cup looks pretty served in a tall glass jug and it tastes good too.

Ingredients

  • 2 lemons
  • 100 g/4 oz castor sugar

Method

Wash the lemons, halve, squeeze out the juice and reserve it. Put the lemon halves in a bowl, add the sugar and the boiling water. Stir to dissolve the sugar and set aside until quite cold.

Strain into a tall jug. Add the reserved lemon juice and the orange juice. Chill until ready to serve. Then stir in the ginger ale or beer and add a few orange slices to garnish.
