Method

If you buy a haggis to celebrate the New Year here’s what to do with it. Place the haggis in a saucepan and cover with tepid water. Bring slowly to the boil, cover with a lid and simmer very slowly for about 45 minutes, depending on the size. Drain and serve hot, with plenty of mashed swedes seasoned with salt and pepper and creamed potato. Traditionally you should drink whisky with haggis.
