Before I met my partner, Gareth, I made tuna pasta bake with a white sauce. Oh, how wrong I was! The tuna-tomato combo has a much better flavour and texture, not to mention a far better nutritional profile. To my mind, the cheese topping is non-negotiable. The breadcrumbs, on the other hand, can be omitted. Be warned though, you’ll miss out on the crunch as your spoon dives through.
