Ingredients

  • 1 kg cherries
  • 750 ml red wine vinegar
  • 250 ml

Method

Thoroughly wash the cherries and remove the stems. Place them in a preserving jar. In a pot bring all the other ingredients to the boil. Simmer the liquor for five minutes then strain it immediately over the cherries into the preserving jar. Cool, then refrigerate and leave for a couple of weeks before serving.
