At first sight this is a deception. What looks like a traditional, hearty English pie is put on the table. Then you look closer and see that the crisp pastry is studded with sesame seeds. Once cut, the crust reveals a golden sweet and sour mixture of turkey, pork and water chestnuts, smelling wonderful. I serve the pie with rice and a salad; it makes a popular family meal.
