Would this be fit for the Hindu goddess Parvati? I hope so. It has characteristics drawn from the many different types of Indian sweetmeats, being milky, scented and intriguingly textured, but not so intensely sweet. I am afraid that I have a very sweet tooth and I always return fatter, rather than thinner, after a visit to India. I do think that a little sharpness combines with sweetness to make an even better taste, though, which is why I often add lemon juice to Eastern-style puddings.</
