Spices from Asian cuisines are frequently used to incorporate exotic tastes and flavours into food. They are absorbed quickly, making them ideal for grilled foods. In this recipe, I have relied on traditional Chinese five-spice powder, combined with other spices to infuse an ordinary steak with special aromas. Serve this with simple boiled or sautéd potatoes.
