Chocolate-Molasses Crinkles

Recipes for ginger snaps, crinkles, and crispies pop up frequently in my booklet collection. But it was the recipe for Cocoa Snaps in Runkel’s Cocoa Delights (no date) that I tinkered with here. My revamp includes boosting up the spices via a bit of white pepper and some ground cinnamon and substituting butter for the lard.
