Pulao is a rice dish in which the rice is cooked in the meat and bone broth. It is often served with qorma, shami kebab, and raita. However, in our family, we have this unique tradition of having pulao mixed with zarda. My husband, Mohsin, initially found it to be a very odd combination, but he loves it now. My children cannot imagine pulao without zarda, just like I never could.
