Feel the dried apricots in their bag before buying, and choose a bag with apricots that feel soft and tender rather than hard and leathery. They will be easier to chew.


  • ¼ cup (about ounces) dark chocolate chips
  • 16 dried apricots


  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment and set it on the counter by your microwave oven. Place the chocolate chips in a 1-cup glass bowl. Place the apricots on a plate and the chopped walnuts in a small, shallow bowl. Set the plate and bowl on the counter by the lined cookie sheet.
