Prep the ingredients and add them to a large mixing bowl: Coarsely chop the pineapple chunks. Finely dice the cucumber. Mince the red onion and cilantro. Peel and crush the garlic. Seed and mince the jalapeño. Squeeze the juice of the lime into the bowl, add the salt, then toss with two wooden spoons. Allow the flavors to meld for about 10 minutes before eating.
