Method

Take some young carrots, scrape and wash them and cut them in very thin slices. Put a good piece of butter in a saucepan, then your carrots, sprinkle with salt, a little sugar and, if necessary, add later some more butter. Cook on a medium fire till the carrots are soft and nicely browned. The mixture of the salt, the sugar, the butter and the little water left on the carrots combine in the process of cooking to make a really delicious dish; but you must use new carrots.
