Method

Take a pound of strawberries, cut them in two, or, if very large, in four. Also take two oranges, remove very carefully with a really sharp knife skin and pith, and cut them in thin quarters. Do this over a cup so that the juice which is bound to come out is not wasted, put together in a bowl oranges and strawberries, the juice of the oranges, soft sugar, a glassful of dry white wine, and a liqueur-glassful of brandy. Shake well and put on ice for a little while. Sprinkle with chopped grilled almonds and serve very cold.
