Method

Aubergines are usually served fried or stuffed, but are also very good plainly grilled. Cut them in two lengthways and sprinkle with salt and pepper; pour olive oil over them and let them marinate for an hour or so; grill them, and when they are partly done pour some of the marinade all over and finish cooking.
