Method

Cut some stale brown bread in thin slices; put on one slice a smooth mixture of Roquefort and butter, then another slice of bread with some mixture spread over, and so on till the pile is about six slices deep. The top one should be plain bread. Press it down well, remove the crust, and cut across in slices with a sharp knife.
