Mackerel in Oats with Watercress

Mackerel in this clothing is very delicious and one of my favourite lunches. I cannot recall ever eating this at dinner.

Have your fish filleted by the fishmonger. You will find that, as autumn fades into winter, the mackerel are getting much larger. So if you buy one of these huge Channel mackerel, a single fish will feed two people even for those as greedy as me.
