We held quite a few special dinners at MG Garage, including the ‘Hats Off’ dinners for the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month. One close to my heart was called ‘Under the Greek Influence’. That dinner was a turning point for me because it was the first time I looked back to my roots for inspiration. Before then I’d never thought about how much my Greek heritage had influenced my cooking. I’m inspired by the poem ‘Ithaca’ by K. Kavafis
