Ingredients

  • 1 pint milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon or mixed spices
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional)

Method

[Age makes me less ascetic, and the butter is no longer optional! And now I use creamy milk and add either 3 tablespoonfuls of brown sugar or about half that amount of good molasses. Other people like it better tool]

Heat milk in double boiler. Add spices (and butter). Pour into heated jug and serve like cream.
