Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter (or vegetable shortening, I hate to admit)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar

Method

Beat until very fluffy. (Add ¼ cup chopped nuts if desired.) [Or shredded coconut or chopped candied fruits. I like it best without additions.] Chill in a bowl and serve with hot gingerbread or any other hot cake.
