Pineapple Stack Cakes

Although these cakes are now popular across America during holiday season they originated in the Appalachian area of the country as a wedding cake. When the guests arrived, they would each bring a sponge layer and each layer would be added to the stack with filling between - the higher the stack, the more popular the wedding couple. There are no prizes for the highest tower but the just desserts of making this cake are its super-tasty flavours.
