  • About

These tea cakes are popular throughout the whole of Eastern Europe and particularly Russia, where during the 17th century taking tea with a sweet cake was an important and routine part of the day. These sweet cakes go by many names - Mexican Wedding Cakes and Viennese Sugar Balls, among others - and when drenched in icing sugar they look like little snowballs.
