This spicy beef fry is a traditional Keralan dish. The meat is slow-cooked with typical South Indian spices until tender and is then fried again in a mix of onions and spices until each morsel of meat gets a caramelized coating of the spicy gravy. It is usually served with flatbreads as a main, but it also goes very well with drinks as an appetizer or starter.
