Semiyan payasam is a South Indian sweet made with vermicelli noodles, milk, ghee, sugar or jaggery, raisins and nuts. It is one of the easiest desserts to make and is ready in under 20 minutes. I personally prefer to make this with coconut milk rather than dairy milk, and jaggery rather than sugar, for the added nutrients. For a fully dairy-free option swap the ghee out for rapeseed/canola oil.
