If, or rather when, the temperature dips dramatically in midsummer, this is the recipe that satisfies my crumble craving. It has a fairly light topping, more of a crisp than a crumble, and it works well with raspberries and dried apricots too. Don’t be surprised if the strawberries partly dissolve – the sauce this creates is heavenly and runs nicely into whatever dairy you choose to pair it with.
