If you’re looking to put on a few pounds I can recommend these spicy nuts as a fairly swift way of achieving your goal. Not only ridiculously moreish, they also pair up stupendously well with a cold beer. They are a perfect football snack, which gives you 96 minutes (plus injury time) of fairly hefty calorie intake.
Mix the brown sugar, cumin, paprika, cinnamon and salt together in a large bowl.
Warm the olive oil gently in a pan, then add the almonds, turning to coat them in the oil. Toss over the heat until the nuts are lightly coloured.
