Electric beaters are good for anything that needs a smooth, strong mixing, such as cake batter or cheesecake. Depending on the style of the beaters, they can also work well for whipping cream or egg whites. Avoid using electric beaters for drier or tougher dough, like scones or some yeast doughs (unless you have the dough-hook beaters)β€”the motor may not be able to keep up.
