  • About
While this isn’t a requirement, it’s recommended. Highly recommended. (Honestly, we kind of wish we could make it a requirement.) We do all of our baking and cooking by weight, and encourage home cooks to do the same, as it allows for much greater consistency. The level of variation in both volume measurement tools and in how individuals measure ingredients is why you’ll always get the most accurate result when baking and cooking by weight! It also can streamline the baking process; instead of needing to use (and then wash) multiple measuring cups, you can often simply set your bowl on the scale and keep measuring ingredients into the same bowl, using the tare button to zero the scale after each one.
