These tear-drop shaped seeds are mainly used to garnish and flavour dishes. They have a distinct flavour, which is enhanced when roasted. In Asian cooking, white sesame seeds are toasted without oil and left to brown slightly. They are then added as a garnish after the dish is cooked. Vary the amount added to your personal preference.
