To Create a Parchment Round for Your Cake Pan

  1. Start with a square piece of parchment paper that is slightly bigger than your cake pan.

  2. Fold it in half, bringing the bottom to the top.

  3. Next, fold the parchment in half again, this time bringing the left side to the right side.

  4. Fold the parchment into a thin triangle by bringing the right side to the left side and then repeating that fold one more time.

  5. Measure your parchment by placing the point of the triangle in the center of your pan. Cut the parchment right at the edge of the pan.

  6. Unfold the paper to reveal your parchment circle.
