Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature before beginning.
- Sift all of the dry ingredients.
- Combine the dry ingredients and fat in a mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to combine for about 1 minute.
- Add the eggs and any extracts.
- Slowly add in the rest of the liquid with the mixer running on medium speed.
- Finish mixing for about 1 minute to thoroughly combine.
- Transfer to the prepared pan(s) and bake.
