Another ground red pepper spice, its heat is generally mild and it can be used to complement many dishes, especially Spanish (think paella), Hungarian (think goulash) or other Eastern European dishes. Sweet paprika is more fruity in tone, and smoked paprika obviously brings a hit of woodiness. Hot paprika is made with extra-spicy red peppers, so use a bit more sparingly.
