  • About
The name, pronounced “wa-RAN-na,” comes from the Amazonian Tupi Indians. The fresh fruit is made into sparkling or flat bottled juice that hints of apple juice or sometimes cream soda, depending on the manufacturer. The seeds are ground into powder and sold in powder or brick form to be grated into water or juice for its vitamin, medicinal, and energizing values.
