Tacacá

A soup made with a broth based on the juice of the manioc root (cassava), river shrimp, and jambu leaves (a relative of the coca leaf), which is usually served in a gourd. The soup is served from carts and stands in the Amazon, from the populated port city of Belém to the shores of the Negro.
