Round Decorated Plaque

Our last project made using Light Yeasted Decorative Dough marks a departure from the previous projects, both in method of construction and thematic possibility. The round decorated plaque is like a framed picture, with an elaborate border enclosing a scene that can be as varied as the skills and imagination of the baker allow. In this example, we show a baker at the oven, a basket of baked loaves at his side. The outside diameter of the plaque in the present example is 16 inches, sufficient to fit a standard sheet pan. The construction is built once all the components are prepared.
