Almond Essence

Almond essence is a cheaper alternative to almond extract. It is most commonly found in the Caribbean as it is manufactured in many islands in the region. Feel free to use almond extract in the place of essence. Because essence is a little weaker in flavor than extract I suggest using half as much extract in any recipe that calls for almond essence.
