Turkey

Turkey is low in fat, which makes it a good choice if you are trying to eat a low-fat diet. Brought to Europe from Mexico during the Spanish conquests of the sixteenth century, turkey had been prized for centuries by the Aztecs and soon became popular throughout Europe.
Although you can buy turkey breasts nowadays, the most popular way it is sold is as a whole bird, making it is ideal for large family gatherings.
In Britain, a plump roasted turkey filled with classic chestnut stuffing, remains the highlight of the traditional Christmas dinner, while in the United States, roast turkey with cranberries still adorns most Thanksgiving tables.
